Physicians and Healthcare Professionals are invited to submit proposals for future Colorado Academy of Family Physicians (CAFP) conferences for CME sessions at the 2027 CAFP Foundation Annual Summit, and Virtual CME Series, which occur on Wednesdays of the month. These educational events are attended by practicing family physicians, advanced practice clinicians, residents, and medical students and serve to continue their medical education.

To submit a presentation proposal for a future CAFP Annual Summit and CAFP Virtual CME date, please complete the form below. Proposals received by November 6, 2026, will be considered for the 2026 & 2027 CAFP Virtual CME held on Wednesdays and the 2027 Annual Summit to be held in April in Colorado Springs. The individual submitting the proposal will be contacted in mid-January regarding the status of their proposal. All submissions will go through a peer-reviewed process overseen by the CAFP Education Committee. Submissions may be considered for either conference unless so noted.

CAFP offers educational events that provide high-quality education developed by family physicians for family physicians. In these efforts, CAFP works to reflect and raise the diverse voices that make up family medicine and the communities in which we serve. The following principles reflect our commitment to these efforts and should be seen as an educational opportunity for all speakers and attendees to work together to make our learning more inclusive and equitable to promote the health of all Coloradans. We ask all of our presenters to:

• Avoid heteronormativity – The assumption that all individuals are heterosexual (and that anything else is abnormal)
• Use patient/person/community/culture-centered language
• Avoid using race as a proxy for biology or genetics; instead, use the experience of racism when describing risk factors for disease
• Highlight the impact(s) of systems/structures when possible
• We highly encourage you to use your personal pronouns on your introduction slide

Speaker Benefits:

Honorarium: Instead of an honorarium, CAFP will provide one complimentary conference registration for the day you present.

Sleeping Room Accommodations: CAFP will not provide sleeping room accommodations unless negotiated and approved by the Director of Education, Events, & Meetings prior to the event.

Mileage: CAFP will reimburse mileage over 60 miles.
